NEW JERSEY STATE YOUTH ORCHESTRA PERFORMED AT GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH
The Little Lambs of the Good Shepherd School, Holmdel, sponsored a spring concert by the Chamber Music Players of the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra (NJSYO). The concert, a free will fundraiser for Little Lambs,was presented on Sunday, April 17 at 3PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 112 Middletown Road, Holmdel, NJ.
The Chamber Music Players was a program of the NJSYO. The NJSYO was begun in 1972 to provide outstanding young musicians with an opportunity to play classical and semi-classical music in a disciplined orchestral setting.

CHAMBER MUSIC DIRECTOR: Wayne S. Arndt is instructor in cello at Georgian Court University, where he appears regularly in recitals and promotes chamber music among students and colleagues. He is principal cellist with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with the Orchestra of Saint Peter by the Sea, the Monmouth University Chorus, the Rose Trio, and the Corialis Trio. Additional credits include the Metro Lyric Opera, the Montclair Chamber Orchestra, the Arcadian Chorale, and musical theater productions throughout New Jersey. He has appeared with Ray Charles and Marvin Hamlisch and has performed across the U.S. and in Canada and Europe. He is String Ensemble coach of the Garden State Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and the chamber music director of the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra. Wayne plays a Thir school cello made in Vienna by about 1750.
