Shelby Batchelor of Fair Haven has become the first recipient of an Endowment Fund Award from the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Holmdel. The Endowment Fund Award is an annual cash gift presented by Good Shepherd Church to a worthy person or organization as part of the church's outreach program. Shelby, a member of the Good Shepherd congregation, was presented with the award at the reglar worship service on Sunday, August 17th. Shelby is a 2001 graduate of Yale College with a B.A. degree in Film Studies. This fall she will attend Yale Divinity School pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. She plans to become an ordained minister, sponsored by Good Shepherd.
